The Splash Spas team had a great day installing a J-480 for a very happy customer. We thought we'd show you the best bits along with some of our favourite installations!

This was the site before installation. A challenge for the team as they had to move it up some stairs before lowering it into the area!

As you can imagine, moving a hot tub up stairs is not an easy feat! The J-480 is one of the largest hot tubs available and the team worked together to reach the top.

Our happy customer even helped out!

Then came the time to lower the J-480 into the area on an inflatable spa dolly.

There are many different opinions on the use of cranes for lifting hot tubs. Many people believe that using a crane is very difficult to organise and people may only choose to use a crane if there is no other option BUT in fact there are just as many risks in the alternative; hiring a delievery team to place your hot tub manually.

Manual labour is often a lot more risky not only to the workers but also to the product! And you obviously want to ensure that your new tub is not damaged before it's even ready to use and enjoy! Cranes undoubtedly avoid injuries and take away stresses and strains from the delivery team! 

Crane lifts are also much less time consuming, as a crane lift can take only about 20 minutes. Cranes are definatly an option that should not be dismissed without investigation.

All larger spas should have to be put in place by a crane! Hiring a crane to lift in your new hot tub or spa is not as hard as you may initially have imagined! When we think of a crane the idea that springs to mind is an image of a huge great industrial crane seen on most major constrution sites. This thought scares a lot of people but of course these are not the cranes which a hot tub requires. A hot tub would generally need a lorry crane, which can be a easy, simple, cost effective and safer for both the team and the product.

Cranes really are a lot easier than you think and better than manual labour.

Eighteen-month-old Maralise Van Wyk, from Nottinghamshire, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder (PCH2) which causes her muscles to be constantly tense and can only be eased by warm water and the relaxation a hot tub can provide this.

PCH2 is a recessive condition and studies suggest children with this condition are not expected to live past infancy. Maralise is just one of five children in the UK with this disorder.

The couple stated that they are trying to raise their own money to provide their daughter with a full hydrotherapy room, to help her life become more comfortable. So far they have raised approximately £2500, by the sale of their car because they believe that "Having access to daily hydrotherapy and a hot tub will have an amazing impact on her life and ease her discomfort”.

From the care of the local people and businesses a hot tub has been provided, to allow the young girl’s muscles to relax and to help the family cope with the struggle the disorder causes.
