Is there anything else I need to buy?
If you don't already have a floating dispenser or an automatic sanitizing tablet dispensing system on you tub then you will need a good adjustable dispenser. We don't recommend placing bromine tablets directly into your skimmer basket.
As with any sanitizing system, you might need some water balance chemicals. We don't supply these as part of the package because everyone's water is different and so it's impossible for us to know what you will need. Also, if you aren't completely new to hot tub ownership the chances are that you will already have what you need. The recommended range of Total Alkalinity and pH for use of Eco One is actually very wide and so it is quite likely that you won't need any balancers at all. If you do need to balance your water you will only need to do it once when you change your water.
We recommend using a cover cleaner before you start to remove any mildew or bacterial deposits.
What if my tub is bigger than 1500 litres?
One bottle of Eco One Spa Monthly is sufficient to treat a tub up to 1800 litres for one month and one sachet of Spa Lite is sufficient to shock a tub up to 1500 litres. If your tub is larger then you will need to supplement the package with additional products which you can purchase individually, as required. It is likely that you will need more Bromine tablets than the 1kg pack supplied.
What if my tub is very small?
Unless your tub is very, very small (less than 900 litres) you should still use a whole bottle of Eco One Spa Monthly and you should always use a whole sachet of Spa Lite to shock. The water is actually more difficult to maintain in a smaller tub because of the higher bather load (more bodies per litre of water) and it is very important to use enough shock and to use it regularly. If your tub is small you will probably find that the bromine tablets supplied will last you longer than 6 months and the Spa Flush will be sufficient for more than 2 water changes.
What if my filters won't fit in the dishwasher?
Then you must soak them overnight in a plastic container larger enough to fully immerse them and use a full sachet of FilterBrite. If you have to do this you'll find that you will need to buy more FilterBrite to supplement your package. If your Filters are very large you might also need additional Enzyme Active Filter Boost.
Will I need Antifoam?
You might need a bit. We don't supply it as part of the package because many people find that they don't need it at all. In fact, if you follow our EcoOne 6 Month Package Usage Instructions and you don't put anything dirty or soapy in your tub (and that includes you!) you shouldn't need it at all. If your tub is foaming the first thing to do is to apply a shock which will probably clear it. If not, then it is fine to use a small amount of Antifoam with Eco One.
Can I try out Eco One without spending £?
Yes you can. Our Eco One Starter Kit contains everything you need to set up and start using Eco One in your tub. If for some reason that we've yet to hear about, you don't like it then just increase the bromine level in your water and continue on traditional bromine sanitation until your next water change. If, after one month, you like the product then you can either purchase this package or buy the additional products you need separately.
