Balboa MoodEFX Retrofit LED Hot Tub Light

MoodEFX by Balboa Instruments is a pioneer of colour light programming technology and this is the worlds first colour changing retrofit LED light for hot tubs.  The patented technology uses a microprocessor to intelligently mix red, green and blue LEDs to produce a stunning array of colour-changing effects, from saturated fixed colours, soothing colour washes, cross fades to bold strobe effects.

To fit these units all you have to do is to remove the existing wedge- based, 12V lamp in your hot tub and clip in the EFX unit.  Controlling the colour effects of the unit is done via your hot tubs existing light switch - you simply turn the switch off and on quickly to cycle through the different light shows.

These lights require no maintenance and are rated to last for over 11 years of continuous use!

The Light Shows provided are:

Slow colour wash: Colours transition gracefully from colour to colour, cycling through the entire colour wheel. Each colour cycle takes approximately 3 minutes.

Fast colour wash: As the slow colour wash, but each cycle takes approximately 1 minute.

Slow random colour: Colours jump from one colour to the next in random order. Each colour duration lasts approximately 10 – 15 seconds.

Fast random colour: As slow random colour, colour duration lasts approximately 5 seconds.

High speed random colour: A rapid series of intense flashes of varying coloured light.

Cross fade: Colours cycle back and forth gracefully between blue and green. Total cycle lasts 1 minute.

Fixed colour: Static display of a single colour. Available colours include white, pink, lavender, light blue, dark blue, light green, and dark green.

Chromotherapy, sometimes called colour therapy, is an alternative medicine. It is claimed that a therapist trained in chromotherapy can use colour and light to balance energy whenever a person's body is lacking, either physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally.

White Light

Is used for regeneration. Also, provides energy and balances the chronobiological rhythm by stimulating the production of serotonin, a substance which regulates both sleep and the nervous system. Rebalances the psychophysical and hormonal systems in people who suffer from seasonal depression.

Blue Light

Calming. Stimulates the parasympathetic system, reduces blood pressure and calms both breathing and heart-rate. It has anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing effects. Fights both physical and mental tension and is used to assist in relaxation.

Yellow Light

Increases neuromuscular tone. Purifies blood, helps digestion, and has a cleansing effect. Strongly stimulates happiness, brings on a sense of security, as well as a strong feeling of well-being

Red Light

Is used to energise and stimulate. Affects the heart by increasing pulse rate, and the muscles by increasing their tension. Influences vitality, and increases body temperature. Can be used to develop excitement and sensuality.

Green Light

Regulates the pituitary gland, fights depression, bulimia, and other psychosomatic conditions affecting the gastric system. It is useful in calming the nervous system, fights irritability, insomnia and can be used to assist in recovery from nervous breakdowns

Solar Pearl Colour Changing Floating Light Ball

This colour changing solar powered ball will look great in you hot tub, and equally good in your pond or anywhere else around your garden.  It is made of UV resistant plastic and is supplied with 2 re-chargeable batteries which give a light duration of up to 8 hours.  The multi-coloured LEDs cycle through a 9-colour light show. The unit has a built-in automatic  switch which will turn the light on as soon as it becomes dark and turn it off again when it detects light or when the batteries need re-charging.  Then simply leave the unit outside in sunlight during the day to enjoy the show again the following evening.

Please bear in mind that our winter days produce very little in the way of brightness/sunlight with the result that the solar lights may well receive insufficient charge to power the internal LED light. One way to cure this is to replace the rechargeable batteries with ordinary Alkaline ones, re-using the re-chargeable batteries once the days get longer and brighter.

Floating Light Garden

These soft, tactile flowers are completely waterproof and can be used virtually anywhere in or out of water.

Indoors, it can be used floating in your bath, in a bowl of water decorating your dining table or for illumination in plant pots.

Outdoors it can be used in the pool or spa, on your patio table, in and around flowerpots and in the garden.

Each garden comprises three flowers with bright, colourful LEDs and four light effects.  The flowers can display red, green or blue light or cycle through all three colours.
