SPAGUARD BALANCE PAK 300
What is Balance Pak 300?
Balance Pak 300 is a granular formula that provides a safe and
convenient way to increase the Calcium Hardness in your hot tub
water. This will have the parallel effect of increasing
the Total Hardness.
Why should you balance the Hardness of your spa water?
Hot tub water with very low total hardness (very
soft water) can cause etching to occur on the tub surfaces which
will become abrasive and uncomfortable for bathers. Rough
surfaces also increase the likelihood of problems with algae
growth and make cleaning more difficult.
Hardness levels should be maintained between 100 -
200mg/l (ppm). Never allow Calcium Hardness to fall below
100 mg/l.
You can test the hardness of your water using our
Calcium Hardness Test Kit
Directions for Use:
Divide the total amount of Balance Pak 300
required into three lots and add each third to your hot tub
water at 6 hour intervals. Turn on your pumps. Dissolve
the Balance Pak 300 crystals in clean, cold water in a clean
container and pour slowly around the perimeter of your spa.
This method of application prevents clouding.

NB. When using with other SpaGuard Balance Pak products,
always apply Balance Pak 100 to the water first to
adjust the Total Alkalinity and buffer the pH (this
stops the PH value fluctuating rapidly). Next apply
Balance Pak 200 to adjust the PH and finally, if
required, Balance Pak 300 to adjust the Calcium
Hardness.
