Why should you worry about scale formation in you hot tub?
When water is heated there is a tendency for the calcium carbonate in the water to form scale on metal surfaces such as the heater element, pipework and jets. If allowed to build up this scale will severely affect the performance of your spa. To stop the calcium carbonate from being deposited in this way use a measured amount of Stain and Scale Control to keep the calcium 'in solution' in your spa water.
Directions for Use:
Before using this product ensure that the Chlorine or bromine level in your spa is not above 3 mg/l (ppm) because high sanitiser levels will reduce the effectiveness of the product. Clean the filter before application.
Initial application:
Add SpaGuard Stain and Scale Control at a rate of 25 ml per 1000 litres of spa water. Apply directly into the water with the pump running. Leave the pump running for at least 8 hours after treatment.
Maintenance dose:
To maintain the effect, add weekly at the rate of 15ml per 1000 litres of Spa water.
